Privacy Policy
Last updated Oct 30, 2026
This policy explains what information Launchly (golaunchly.com) collects, why, and what we do with it. In short, we keep what we need to build, sell and host your website, and we don't sell your personal information for money.
What we collect
- Your website answers: your business name, services, hours, contact details, photos, logo and anything else you enter in the builder. We store them as a draft so we can show your preview and generate your website.
- Order details: what you bought, the payment status, and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs linked to your order.
- Payment details: collected and processed by Stripe. Stripe gives us your email address and billing details for the receipt. We never receive your full card number.
- Contact form messages: the name, email, business name and message you send us.
- Chat helper messages: what you type into the "Ask Launchly" chat and the helper's replies, with the page or builder step you were on. Chat messages are stored to improve support and are processed by Cloudflare's AI service (Cloudflare Workers AI) to write the replies. Please don't share card numbers, passwords or other sensitive details in the chat.
- Basic usage counts: daily totals, like how many times the homepage loaded or a preview was built. To stop abuse, we keep a short-lived, one-way hash of your IP address for rate limits.
- Ad measurement (Meta Pixel): on golaunchly.com we use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It tells us when someone views a page or starts a free preview, and when they buy a plan (we send only the plan and the price). We use it to see which ads work and to show our ads to people likely to want a website. The Pixel can set a cookie and send Meta your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you view here. Meta may link that to your Facebook or Instagram account under Meta's Privacy Policy. We never send Meta your name, email, phone, website answers, chat or contact messages, or payment details. We don't load the Pixel on preview sites, customer dashboards, or the websites we build for our customers.
- How you found us (link tags and referral codes): if you arrive from a link with tags like
utm_sourceorutm_campaign, a Facebook click ID, or a Launchly referral code, your browser keeps them while you look around. If you buy, we save them with your order so we know which ad, post or partner sent you: link tags go into your payment record at Stripe, and a referral code is kept in your browser for up to 60 days. If the Meta Pixel is off for you (see Your choices and Visitors outside the US), we don't keep the Facebook click ID.
Websites on Launchly Care and Care Plus
When a business has Care or Care Plus, Launchly hosts its website and collects a little information about that website's visitors for the business owner, shown only in the owner's private dashboard:
- Visitor stats: page views; clicks on the call, directions, email, pay and book buttons; the kind of site a visitor came from (Google, Facebook, direct or other); mobile or desktop; and the hour of the visit. Each visitor is counted with a one-way hash of their IP address, browser and the date, so it changes every day and can't be turned back into an IP address. We don't store raw IP addresses for this, the daily hashes are deleted automatically (usually within a few days), and only daily totals are kept. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party analytics. We don't load the Meta Pixel on preview sites, customer dashboards, or the websites we build for our customers, and those websites carry no advertising or third-party trackers of ours.
- Messages from the website's forms: when a visitor sends a contact, quote or booking request, we keep a copy (name, phone, email, the service, their message and details, and the page they sent it from) in the owner's lead inbox, plus a one-way hash of their IP address to stop spam. Messages are kept until the business owner asks us to delete them. If you sent a message to a business, contact that business or email us to have it removed.
- Pay and Book buttons take visitors to the business's own payment or booking provider, which handles that information under its own privacy policy.
The business owner decides how to use the messages they receive. If a business's plan ends, its dashboard is switched off and this data is kept unless the owner asks us to delete it.
Review Booster (review request emails)
Review Booster lets a business that uses Launchly email its own customers a short “How did we do?” request. The business owner adds the customer and confirms they have permission to contact them. For each request we store, for the business: the customer's name and email address, a phone number if the owner adds one (kept for future text requests; we don't send texts yet), when the email was sent and whether a reminder was sent, whether the email's images loaded (an approximate “opened”), whether the link was clicked, the star rating if they choose one, whether the customer went on to the public review site, and any private feedback they write.
- Who sees it: only that business owner, in their private dashboard. Private feedback goes to the owner's lead inbox and is never published by Launchly. We never sell or share these emails, and we don't use them for our own marketing.
- Emails: each customer gets one request and at most one reminder about 3 days later. The same person isn't asked again by the same business within 90 days. Every email names the business, comes from Launchly on its behalf, and has an unsubscribe link that works right away. You can also choose to stop review requests from every business that uses Launchly. We keep only a one-way hash of an unsubscribed email address so we can keep honoring it.
- Public reviews: if you choose to leave a review on Google, Facebook, Yelp or another site, you write it on that site under its own terms and privacy policy. Everyone who opens a request sees the same button to leave a public review, whatever rating they pick or if they don't pick one. The rating is optional and is only shown to the business.
- Spam protection: we keep a one-way hash of the IP address that submits private feedback, the same way as for website forms.
- How long: review request records are deleted after 13 months. Private feedback stays in the owner's lead inbox until the owner asks us to delete it. To have your information removed, contact the business or email us.
How we use it
- To build your preview and website, process your payment, deliver your files, and host your site if you choose Hosting or Care.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To keep the service secure and working.
- To understand how people find and use Launchly, and to measure and improve our ads.
QuickBooks Online connection (Care Plus, optional)
If you connect your QuickBooks Online company from your owner dashboard, you sign in on Intuit's page and choose the company. Launchly then receives an access token and your QuickBooks company id. We store them encrypted and use them only to add the leads from your own website's forms to QuickBooks: we create or match a customer (name, email, phone) and, for quote requests, a draft estimate with the request details. Launchly doesn't read your books, reports, bank data or other customers, apart from looking up a customer by email or name so we don't create duplicates. We never change or delete anything else in QuickBooks.
You can disconnect at any time from your dashboard (we revoke the token with Intuit and delete it) or from Apps in QuickBooks. Records already created in QuickBooks stay there and are yours. Intuit's own handling of your data is covered by Intuit's privacy statement.
Where it's stored
Drafts, orders, messages and chat messages are stored on Cloudflare (Cloudflare D1 and Workers KV), and chat replies are generated by Cloudflare Workers AI. Payments and billing are handled by Stripe. Our business email runs on Google Workspace. Meta receives the ad-measurement data described above. Each of these companies handles data under its own security and privacy terms.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your personal information for money, and we never give anyone your website answers, messages or payment details. The Meta Pixel does pass Meta some activity from golaunchly.com so we can measure and target our ads. Some US state privacy laws, including California's and Texas's, can call that a "sale," "sharing" or "targeted advertising" even when no money changes hands. We treat it that way and let anyone, wherever they live, turn it off (see Your choices).
Uploaded sites
If you upload your own website, we store your files and process the form submissions sent to your lead inbox. Scripts or embeds in your own files may load third-party services that Launchly doesn't control (maps and YouTube or Vimeo videos are allowed).
How long we keep it
We keep drafts and orders while they're needed for your website, support, hosting and our tax and accounting records. You can ask us to delete your drafts and messages at any time. We may need to keep payment records the law requires us to keep. Link tags and referral codes stay with the order they belong to, for as long as we keep that order. Meta keeps Pixel data under its own policy.
Your choices
Email brian@golaunchly.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
Turning off ad tracking: turn on your browser's Global Privacy Control setting, and we won't load the Meta Pixel for you. You can also block third-party cookies or use a content blocker, which stops the Pixel and doesn't break anything on our site. You can change how Meta uses your activity in Meta's ad preferences. To opt out of the Meta Pixel on golaunchly.com, email brian@golaunchly.com and we'll walk you through it.
Your rights: wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to fix or delete it, or ask us to stop ad tracking. Email us and we'll answer within 45 days. If we say no, reply with "Appeal" in the subject and we'll take a second look. If you still disagree, you can contact your state attorney general (in Texas, the Office of the Attorney General). We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Cookies and browser storage
On golaunchly.com:
- Ad measurement (only when the Meta Pixel loads): Meta's
_fbpcookie (identifies your browser, about 90 days) and_fbccookie (only when you arrive from a Facebook ad, about 90 days). Meta's script may also note the last site that sent you in your browser's local storage. We keeptrk_lead_…andtrk_buy_…in local storage so we don't count the same preview or purchase twice. - Remembering your work (local storage, on your device):
launchly_order(your draft, so you can pick up where you left off),launchly_keys(the private links to orders you bought on this device) andlaunchly_ref(a referral code, up to 60 days). - This visit only (session storage, cleared when you close the tab):
launchly_utm(link tags),launchly_chat_v1(your help chat), andlaunchly_prefillandlx_gf_hint(details carried from our free tools into the builder). - Sign-in and security cookies (only if you use these features):
lx2f(owner dashboard sign-in, 30 days),lxa(Launchly app sign-in, 180 days, plus anlx:…copy of your dashboard in local storage until you sign out),lx_qb(connecting QuickBooks, 15 minutes),pp_demo(demo access, 30 days) andlv_test(1 hour, only when a preview link is opened as a test, so test visits aren't counted).
Cloudflare Turnstile (the spam check on some forms) doesn't set cookies.
Visitors outside the US
Launchly is run from Texas for US businesses. If you visit from the European Union, the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we don't load the Meta Pixel at all.
Children
Launchly is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above.
